The Mines, which previously known as Mines Shopping Fair launched its new name & logo on 10th March 2010. Over the years, CapitaMalls Asia has transformed The Mines into a contemporary neighborhood shopping mall with major upgrading works inclusive of creating additional retail space, revamping the carpark system, changing new wash rooms, creating additional link bridges and new sets of escalator inside the mall.
The Mines, welcomed shoppers with its brand new look and Fun, Food, Fashion & Future as its key messages and core values to provide a better shopping experience to its patrons.
For Fun – The Mines provides a fun and amusing entertainment platform to shoppers of all ages. From TGV Cinemas, bowling centre to a family karaoke, The Mines guarantee a fun time like you never had before. The Mines has also created a landscaped rooftop garden Splash Park – a newly added facility comprising a children’s playground and designated water play areas for families to linger around while spending whole day at the mall.
For Food – Tenants mix at the walkway along the canal was reconfigured to cater for food & beverages tenants. Shoppers can now enjoy variety of dining options while enjoying the cruise along the canal and have more to choose from our new food outlets such as Texas Chicken, BarBQ Plaza, Sakae Sushi, Sakura Kristal, Seoul Garden, Thai Express & Fish & Co.
For Fashion – Leveraging on the CapitaMalls Asia’s global retail network, The Mines is now offering more well known local and international fashion & accessories brands like Uniqlo, Nichii, Kitschen, Hush Puppies and Voir Gallery.
For Future – The Mines saw the opening of DigitaMart, the largest IT Centre in the Southern Hemisphere. Opened on 15 July 2008, DigitaMart occupied a total floor area of 48,000 sq. ft. and boasts over 80 shops and kiosks.
